Elza Abraham Phillips, 82, of Spraggs, R. D. 2, died Wednesday, October 26, at 2 p.m. at his residence. Mr. Phillips had been in failing health for several months.

He was born March 19, 1884, in Wayne Township, a son of Thomas and Nancy Myers Phillips.

Mr. Phillips was a retired farmer and had lived all of his life in the Wayne Township area.

He was a member of the Phillips Methodist Church, in Wayne Township.

Ella Lou Brock, his wife, preceded him in death.

Surviving are two sons, Luther Phillips, of Spraggs, R. D. 1, and Arthur Phillips, of Pine Bank, R. D. 1; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Three brothers and two sisters are deceased.

Per the Social Security death Index he died 10/15/1966.
