Miss Mattie Everitt, daughter of the late Captain W. D. and Mrs. Everitt, died at the home of her mother on the old Everitt homestead, southwest of Vienna, Saturday morning after years of illness and suffering. She was born where she died. Her age was 63. She had been helpless for many months. She was cared for by her brother, Charles Everitt, who has made his home with Mattie and his mother the past year. Mrs. Everitt who is 88 years of age, is practically helpless. She is survived four brothers, Thomas H., W. Rose, E. O. and Charles Everitt, and one sister, Mrs. Max Hosea, of Indianapolis. The deceased was of a kind and gentle spirit, genial, companionable and generous to those she knew.
The funeral was held Monday at 10 a.m. with burial at the Everitt Cemetery beside her father, Captain Everitt.
