Funeral services for Dewey C. Collinsworth, 77, were conducted in graveside rites at Shamrock Cemetery Wednesday, July 23, at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Bill Rushing, pastor of Samnorwood Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in Shamrock Cemetery under the direction of Richerson Funeral Home.
Mr. Collinsworth, born June 3, 1898 in Foard County was found dead of natural causes at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, in his room at the Shamrock Motel. Justice of the Peace Cecil Amerson said Mr. Collinsworth had been dead about 24 hours. Mr. Collinsworth came to Shamrock in 1902 with his parents. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include a brother, C.C. Collingsworth of Shamrock.
