THE HARRISON FUNERAL WEDNESDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Artilla Harrison, who died Wednesday at the home of her daughter at Los Angeles, will be held Wednesday at 2:30 o'clock in St. James Baptist Church in Emporia. Rev. C. P. Marrow, former pastor, will conduct the services. The body will arrive in Emporia on Santa Fe No. 2, at 4:20 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.

Artilla Elliott was born in Cumberland county, Ky., February 13, 1852. She was married in 1868 to Joseph Harrison, the couple coming to Emporia in 1891. Mr. Harrison died in 1920.

Mrs. Harrison is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Laurel Holt, of Emporia; Mrs. Sarah Bain, of Los Angeles; Mrs. Lela Otters, of Los Angeles; three sons, Leslie Harrison, of Emporia; Robert Harrison, of Emporia; Frank K. Harrison, of Los Angeles; and one brother, Giles Elliott, Los Angeles.

FUNERAL OF MRS. HARRISON

Funeral services for Mrs. Artilda [sic] Harrison, colored, who died in Los Angeles, October 12, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, in the St. James Baptist Church. Rev. S. P. Morrow, of St. Joseph, assisted by Rev. T. J. Burwell, pastor of Mount Olive A.M.E. church, conducted the services. Interment was made in Maplewood cemetery. Pallbearers were: William Andrews, Pearl Carson, Edward Evans, Joe Jobe, Ralph Armstead and W. E. Carter.
