Funeral services for Mr. Andy Ashworth will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 24, 2012 in the Rush Chapel, Oakdale with Reverends Joey Rudisill and Robert Foshee officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Ashworth, 59, of Fort Necessity entered eternal rest on Friday, December 21, 2012 in Grace Home, Alexandria.
Andy was a 1971 graduate of Oakdale High School. He was a Louisiana College Alumni and four year member of the LC Wildcat basketball team. He retired after thirty years as a construction superintendent for Dillards Construction.
He was preceded in death by one son, Kirk Ashworth; his parents, Ernest and Mary Alice Ashworth; one brother, Gary Ashworth and one brother-in-law, C. C. Willis.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include three daughters, Shelli Tabor and her husband, Greg of Fort Necessity, Kirshel Fischer and her husband, Curtis of Topeka, Kansas and Abagail Ashworth of Alexandria; one brother, Jack Ashworth of Oakdale; one sister, Belinda Willis of Gardner and one grandchild, Lucius Fischer.
