Alice C. Abalos, 63, of Las Cruces died Wednesday April 9, 2003 at Mountain View Regional Hospital. She was born November 18, 1939 in Dona Ana, NM to Florencio and Rufugia Cuaron. Alice was a loving wife, daughter, mother, grand mother and great grandmother. She had a passion for cooking and loved being outside watching the many softball games she attended were she was known as the #1 Fan. Alice was an active parishioner at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church and enjoyed sharing arts and crafts with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband of 43 years Frank Abalos, her mother; Refugia M. Cuaron of Dona Ana, three daughters; Cynthia Herrera and husband Henry, Margaret Abalos and companion James Hilliard, and Jennifer Abalos and companion Eric Rosa all of Las Cruces, NM. She is also survived by four brothers; Isaac Cuaron of Las Cruces, NM Paul and Willie Cuaron of Dona Ana, NM and Jack Cuaron, Las Cruces, NM. One sister Nettie Miller of Dona Ana, NM., five grandchildren Anna, Joe, Enrique, Julio, and Jacob two great grandchildren Mario, Marcos, and Emerie. She is preceded in death by her father and a brother Thomas Cuaron. Friends and family will gather Friday April 11, 2003 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Getz Funeral Home Chapel where the Prayer Vigil will follow beginning at 7:00 PM. His funeral mass will be at 9:00 AM Saturday April 12, 2003 at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church with Fr. Enrique Lüpez Escalera officiating. The rite of committal will follow at St. Josephs Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers Eric Rosas, James Hilliard, Mario Marquez, Henry and Joe Herrera, and Ricky Abalos
