Erna R. Wichmann

Erna R. Wichmann, age 70, of 1606 Appletree Road, Howards Grove, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday January 3, 2007. She was born in the Town of Herman on May 26, 1936, a daughter of the late Herman and Hulda (Grosskopf) Berth.

Erna graduated from Central High School in Sheboygan in 1954. Erna R. Berth and Wayne M. Wichmann were united in marriage on June 1, 1957 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran
Church in Howards Grove. She was employed at the Kohler Company over 28 years retiring in 1996. Erna was a very proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In artier years, Erna and Wayne enjoyed snowmobiling, and spending time at their cabin in the north woods. Erna was a gifted artist, enjoyed bowling, casinos and being with her family and friends. Wayne preceded her in death on August 18, 2001. She was a life member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Howards Grove and the Kohler Quarter Century Club.

Surviving Erna is one son: James (Lisa) Wichmann of Howards Grove, three daughters: Debra (Gosz) Wichmann and special friend Duaine Hartman of Kiel, Bonnie (Bill) Nonnemacher of Howards Grove, and Kelly Wichmann and special friend Kirk Klefstad of Kewaskum, six grandchildren: Jessica and Nicholas (Jessica) Gosz, Danielle, Calli and Logan Nonnemacher, and Shauna Wichmann; two step-grandchildren, Jeff and James Gosz; one great-grandchild, Gavin Goehring; two step-great-grand-children Ian and Alec. She is further survived by one brother-in-law Arlo (Janice) Wichmann of Weyauwega, one sister-in-law: Joanne (James) Wulterkens of Appleton, nieces, nephews and her close friends, Judy, Sharon and Dave. Erna was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Dawn Wichmann and a brother-in-law, Richard Wichmann.

A funeral service will be held for Erna on Sunday January 7, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at Zimmer's Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center. Reverend Tom Unke, pastor of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Eternal Light, Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Westview on Sunday from 12 Noon until the time of the service.

A memorial fund in the name of Erna R. Wichmann has been established.
