Harry R. Loose, 73, of Tyrone died Thursday at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill. He was born in Hollidaysburg, son of Harry Harrison and Susan M. (Quarry) Loose. He married Leanore M. Wertz, who died Sept. 28, 2011.

He is survived by three sons: Harry R. Jr. (Joanne) of Bald Eagle, Lloyd H. (Lisa) of Tyrone and Michael S. (Beth) of Duncannon; five grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Clapper of Martinsburg; and his special dog, Doc.

Harry retired from the former Rutgers Organics Chemical Co. in State College and then operated the Loose Bait & Tackle Shop at his home.

He was a 1959 graduate of Tyrone High School and served in the U.S. Naval Reserve.

He loved the Pittsburgh Pirates, being with his family, especially his grandchildren, and watching his grandchildren play sports.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or services. Interment will be at Baughman Cemetery. Arrangements are by Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone.
