Janet F. Reasy, 88, Hollidaysburg, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday evening at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus.

She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of Harry and Susan (Quarry) Loose. She married Joseph W. Reasy Sr. on July 8, 1945, in Hollidaysburg.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Cathy A. Neal of Altoona; a son, Joseph W. Jr. of Dysart; a grandson, Nicholas S. Neal; a sister, Gladys Clapper of Duncansville; a brother, Harry "Ray" Loose of Tyrone; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five brothers: Donald, Palmer, Leon, Fred and Ted Loose; and three sisters: Lois Cox, Eleanor Brubaker and Helen Fleming.

Janet was a 1941 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She had been employed at Sylvania and as a cafeteria worker at Logan Junior High School and retired as an LPN from Mercy Hospital. She was an active member of First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring, and acted as a delegate for many annual church conferences.

Janet was a member of Hollidaysburg Alumni Chorus and Hollidaysburg YMCA Auxiliary, and she contributed to many charitable organizations. She enjoyed camping, traveling, music and being with her family.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery (www.thegoodfuneralhomeinc.com), the Rev. Joe Surin officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Church of the Brethren, 901 Bloomfield St., Roaring Spring, PA 16673; Camp Blue Diamond, P.O. Box 240, Petersburg, PA 16669; or American Rescue Workers, 811 Scotch Valley Road, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.u
