Gorby, Shirley Linnea age 77 of Moundsville, WV died Sunday, December 30, 2012 in UPMC, Pittsburgh, PA.
She was born July 20, 1935 in Rockford, IL the daughter of the late Charles E. and Maggie J. Gore Powers.
She was US Army Veteran; a member of Wayman's Ridge Methodist Church, TOPS #0205; loved playing cards, and her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald; five sisters, Elva, Virginia, Rosemary, Charmaine, and Patience; an infant daughter, Rebecca Lynn Gorby; and a granddaughter, Holly Trent.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Lorhn "Sid" Gorby; two daughters, Patricia (Raymond) Trent, and Margaret (Lee) Trent, all of Moundsville; a son, William Charles Gorby of Moundsville; four grandchildren, Ray Trent of Wheeling, Nicole Trent of Moundsville, Stephanie Trent of Newell, PA, and Jennifer Trent of Moundsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-9pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Avenue, Moundsville where funeral services will be held Friday at 1pm with Pastor Rodney Hubbs officiating.
Interment in Valley Brook Memorial Park, Moundsville.
