Rites Pending for Mrs. Adkins

Sarah Clementine Adkins M of Cranberry who died at her home at 6 p.m. after an extended illness.

Born at Alderson she was the daughter of John Vance and Verna Cale Vance. She had been a resident of Raleigh County for 50 years and was a member of the Church of God.

Surviving are two sons, Ernest Plumley, of Hinton, and Raymond Adkins, of Beckley; nine daughters, Mrs. Sadie Bragg, of Brooks, Mrs. Myrtle Richmond, of Hinton, Mrs. Goldie Patterson, of Crow, Mrs. Lola Bennett, of Havaco, Mrs. Beulah Adkins, of Long Bottom, Mrs. Josephine Chandler, of Calloway Heights, Mrs. Marie Meadows, of Crab Orchard, Mrs. Blanche Cooper of Cranberry; Mrs. Daisy Bennett, of Prosperity; two brothers, Willis Vance of Pax, and Harve Vance of Abraham; three sisters, Miss Maggie Adkins, of Ohio, and Mrs. Mary Bennett, of Pear; 23 grand children and five great-grandchildren.
