Beulah G. Adkins

HINTON — Beulah Grace Adkins, 84, of New River Road died at 6:40 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, 1998, in a Hinton hospital following a long illness.

Born April 22, 1914, at Longbottom, she was the daughter of the late J.H. “Doc" and Clementine Vance Adkins.

Mrs. Adkins was a lifelong resident of Longbottom, a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, Dewey Adkins, Sr.; two sons, Dewey Adkins, Jr., of Hinton and Eagle Adkins of Pipestem; a daughter, Victoria Adkins of Narrows, Va.; five sisters, Blanche Wood of Hinton, Josephine Chandler of Hinton, Myrtle Richmond of Hinton, Lola Bennett of Hinton and Daisy Bennett of Beckley; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel, Hinton, with Pastor Roy Lee Honaker, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow in Adkins Cemetery, Longbottom.

Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral parlors.
