Lola Delpha Bennett, 95, of Longbottom, died at 1:30 P. M. Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at the Summers Co. Appalachian Regional Hospital at Hinton, following a long illness.

Born April 9, 1912 at Longbottom, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Clementine Vance Adkins.

Mrs. Bennett was the former Pastor of the House of Prayer at Havaco, WV. She was a Christian and of the Pentacostal Faith. She had served a ministry of inspiration and faith to her family and all those who crossed her path throughout her life. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

Preceded in death by her husband; Frank T. Bennett, a son; Franklin Junior Bennett, two daughters; Opal Spratt Cullum and Justine Tenny Roope, one grandson; Richard Pete Beck, four sisters; Beulah Adkins, Sadie Bragg, Goldie Patterson and Maureen Meadows, and two brothers; Raymond Bob Adkins and Ernest Plumley.

Survived by one daughter; Mildred Mickey Easter of Welch, four sisters; Myrtle Richmond of Beckley, Daisy Bennett of NC, Josephine Chandler of Longbottom and Blanche Wood of Beckley, ten grandchildren; Dana Franklin Spratt, Donnie (Collins) Skuja, Ronnie Collins, Connie Collins and wife Carol, Robin Lee, Tammy Scott and husband Skeebo Scott, Carmen Belcher Hamm and husband Donnie Hamm, Pam Fox Johnson and husband Paul Johnson and Debbie Fox Rash, three step-grandchildren; Wendall Spratt, Buddy Fox and Randy Fox, seventeen great grandchildren and eighteen great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Lawrence Bennett officiating.

Burial will follow, in the Adkins Family Cemetery in Raleigh Co., near Sandstone Falls.

Friends may call at the funeral parlors from noon until funeral time on Saturday. Her grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
