She was born Oct. 27,1941 in Altoona, the daughter of Charles and Emma (Homerick) Foust. Her father preceded her in death.
Ms. George had been employed as a personnel/human resources coordinator for Industrial Maintenance Systems, Altoona, with 12 years of service.
She was a 1959 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.
Ms. George was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed bowling.
Surviving are a son, Robert C. of Lakemont; two daughters: Michele M. DeLeo of Hollidaysburg and Sandra K. Detwiler of Galeton; her mother of Lakemont, brother, John of Altoona; two sisters: Elizabeth Kelly of Wallingford, Conn., and Rose Singer of Holldaysburg; and six grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg.
