Services for George William Yarbrough, 71, who died of a heart attack Friday night at the home of his son, Otha Yarbrough on the Cloverport Road near Mercer, will be held this afternoon at the Maple Springs Baptist Church at one o'clock with the pastor, the Rev. Claude Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Springs Cemetery with Alexander - Wray Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Yarbrough was born in Arkansas but had been a resident of Mercer for the past 47 years. He was a retired farmer.

His wife, Fannie Bell Lewis Yarbrough, preceded him in death July 17, 1946.

In addition to the son with whom he lived, he is survived by two other sons, Benton Franklin Yarbrough of near Mercer and George Douglas Yarbrough of Tiptonville, TN; four brothers, Oscar, Marvin, Johnny, and Gilbert, all of Texas; and five sisters all of Texas.

Pallbearers will be Hubert Pirtle, Bill Sterling, Jay Leonard, John Garrett, Manley Reynolds, Cecil Holloman.
