Pride Tompkin Bevis, age 75, of Florence, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 26, at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 27, in the funeral home chapel, with Brother James Lee officiating. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Bevis was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and former owner of Bevis Plumbing Co.
Survivors include his wife, Earline Bevis; children, Randall Bevis (Brenda), Terry Bevis, Billy Bevis, Johnny Bevis, Paul Bevis (Shelia), Kenny Bevis (Rene), Tony Bevis, Mark Bevis (Vicki), Joe Bevis (Linda), Kathy Butler (Donald), Amanda Hill (Joe) and Kim Richardson (Rebel); brother, Owen Bevis (Patsy); 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
