When interviewed in 2014, Sunie's
granddaughters recalled that thanks
to her exceptional seamstress skills,
Sunie was often the person in the
community that people sought out when
they needed new clothes to be made for
their deceased family members.
She was remembered as often working
tirelessly late into the night sewing
clothes for families living in and
around Piedmont, SC.
