Deborah Lorraine Holland Williams 60, of Rockingham, passed Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at her residence.

Mrs. Williams was born Aug. 5, 1950, in Wilmington, to Roy Holland and Lillian Floyd Pennington.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at Crossroads Community Church in Carthage, with the Rev. David Bibey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Williams was a longtime member of the Crossroads Church. She worked several years in nursing at Moore Memorial, now FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. She loved trips to the beach and camping outdoors. She was very outgoing and loved to laugh and spend time with children and Molly, her dog. She was very patriotic and loved her country.

She is survived by her daughters, Terreasa Farmer and husband, Dr. Laymon Farmer, of Rockingham, Heather Waitley, of Wilmington, Elizabeth Reynolds, of Rockingham; her mother, Lillian Pennington, of Wilmington; a brother, Roy C. Holland Jr. and wife, Marie, of Burgaw; grandchildren, Trent Waitley, Brylee Williams, Stoney Germain, Michael Germain, Benjamin Germain II; best friend, Pam Nunnery, of Vass; close family friends, Eddie T. Lane, of Southern Pines, and Mandy Macdonald Webb, of Vass; and many close friends at Moore Regional Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stoney E. Williams, in 2002; a son, Michael Wade Williams, in 2010, and her father, Roy Holland.
