Funeral services for Susie M. Stover, 89, of Millen (Herndon) will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Ogeechee Freewill Baptist Church in Jenkins County with Rev. Edwin Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery. She will lie in state one hour prior to service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 6 – 8 p.m. She died Sunday, March 27, 2016 at her daughter’s residence.

Mrs. Susie M. Stover was born in Emanuel County to the late Elmore and Dora Canady Allcott Sr. She was retired from the Jenkins County Board of Education as a school bus driver and was a member of the Ogeechee Freewill Baptist Church in Jenkins County. Stover loved fishing, cooking, sewing, canning, gardening and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, William H. (Bill) Stover, seven brothers, four sisters, and two sons-in-law, Marvin Nesmith and Ray Womack.

Survivors include three daughters, Susie Nesmith of Bulloch County, Martha Ray Womack of Midville, and Annette Williams (Jimmie) of Portal; eight grandchildren, Danny Finch, Suzanne Nesmith, Anthony Finch, Terrance Finch, Tyler Finch III, Jonathan Womack, Scotty Womack and Robin Stewart; 15 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Pallbearers are Danny Finch, Anthony Finch, Terrance Finch, Tyler Finch III, Jonathan Womack, Scotty Womack, Larry Bennett and Brad Hooks. Honorary pallbearers are Keith Finch, Kaleb Finch, Kane Finch and Dylan Womack.

Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Ogeechee Freewill Baptist Church, c/o Rev. Edwin Taylor, 329 E. Winthrope Ave. Millen, GA 30442.
