Wesley Tazwell Chappelle was the son of Henry Thomas Chappell(e) and his wife, Mary Elizabeth Murphy. He was born in what was then Princess Anne County, Virginia (now city of Virginia Beach, Virginia).

Wesley Tazwell Chappelle, 52, son of the late Henry T. and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Murphy Chappelle, died Wednesday at 4:45 p.m. at his residence, Back Bay, Princess Anne County.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Alice Ewell of Creeds; a son, William T. Chappelle of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Bertie Henley of Back Bay; three brothers, William J. Chappell and R. Colon Chappelle, both of Back Bay, and George Chappelle of Norfolk, and four grandchildren.
Mr. Chappelle was a lifelong resident of Princess Anne County and was a veteran of World War II.
The body will be taken from the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to the Charity Methodist Church for funeral services Friday at 1 p.m. The body will be in the church an hour prior to services. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
