Albert Hager, 80, of Branchland, departed this life Monday, September 26, 2011, at his residence.
Born May 6, 1931, in Hetzel, he was a son of the late James and Lucinda Neace Webb. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Verla Mae Hager; three brothers, Gordon, Abbey and Curley Hager, and one sister, Goldie Vance.
Those left to cherish his memory include one daughter, Sharon Williamson of Mt. Sterling, Ky.; four sons, Benji, Paul and James "Boo" (Rishea) Hager, all of Branchland, and David Ray (Linda) Hager of Richmond, Mich.; three sisters, Freda West and Opal Artist, both of Chapmanville, and Violet (Ray) Smith of Ashland, Ky.; one brother, Jimbo Webb of Pontiac, Mich.; four grandchildren, Timothy "T" Hager of Anchor Bay, Mich., Dean Cliffton of Richmond, Mich., Paul "PJ" Williamson of Kentucky; David J Hager of Branchland and Chris Hager of Michigan; three great-grandchildren; other special people in his life; numerous nieces and nephews including Jeffrey Lynn Woodson, Mavis and Rufus Workman, Nancy Fowler, Paul and Rose Artist and family, Tommy Artist and family, James Lester Hager, Rick Artist and family, Arlene "Lulu" Mann, Michael Cochran, Everett Hager, Danny and Loretta DeBoard, Arbdella Mounts, Carl "Skeeter" Noe, and his cousins, John and Rose Neace, Rose and Gerry Spadafino, and Monroe Williamson.
The family would like to thank Earl Ramey, Rose and Bethany Artist, Hospice of Huntington and St. Mary's Home Health Care.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 29, at Freeman Funeral Home with Earl Ramey officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Huntington.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
