CLINTON ? Clifford R. Smith, 90, of Clinton, died Saturday at the Bluff Terrace Nursing Facility, Clinton.
Funeral services will be at Zion Lutheran Church, Clinton, at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Visitation will be at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be members of Zion Lutheran Church.
He was born Dec. 18, 1914, in Camanche to Frank and Elta Flack Smith. He married Eilene Marie Henningsen on Dec. 31, 1936, in Clinton. She died in 1998.
He was a 1934 graduate of Clinton High School.
He worked with the Curtis Co. in Clinton for 31 years and then with Interstate Power Co. for 18 years before retiring in 1984.
He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where he was head usher for many years and was a member of Moose Lodge 363, Clinton.
Survivors include sisters, Valeria Heath and Marg McMahon, both of Clinton; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Donald and Betty Henningsen of Maquoketa; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and 12 brothers and sisters.
