Mrs. Merlin (Octavia) Brose, age 86, of St. Mary's Home for the Aged, Manitowoc, formerly of 1506 Waldo Blvd., died Friday morning, October 14, 1994, at St. Mary's Home. Funeral Services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, October 17, 1994, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, with entombment at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
She was born April 13, 1908, in Luxembourg, Europe, daughter of the late Nicholas and Margaret Basting Everard.
She married Merlin Brose February 22, 1930, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She and her husband had been married for 64 years.
She was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church and the Christian Women of the church, Catholic women's Club, Lions Club Auxiliary and the Elks Club Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Merlin; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Shirley Brose, Two Rivers; one daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie and Eugene Bahlman, Neenah; one brother, John Everard, Denver, Colo.; one sister and brother-in-law, Kate and Edward Jagemann, Manitowoc; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Holy Innocents Catholic Church from 11:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at noon on Monday.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials would be appreciated to the ADRD unit at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.
