Betty J. Granitz, age 76, a resident of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, died Friday, January 8, 1999, at the home.
She was born August 8, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Erna Heyman.
On December 27, 1947, she married Frank Granitz at Wausau, Wisconsin.
Betty was a physical education teacher with the public school system for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Granitz, Manitowoc; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Judith A. Granitz, Thoreau, New Mexico, Patricia and David Friedlander, Gorham, Maine, Barbara and Scott Foss, Eugene, Ore.; five grandchildren, Arin, Ezra, Mark, Rachel and Gabe; one great-grandson, Jordan; one brother and sister-in-law, Bud and Kitty Heyman, Wausau. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Private Family Services were held. The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
