Marie R. Guex, age 86, formerly of 551 S. Main St., Mishicot, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006, at the Woodside Lutheran Home in Green Bay.
Marie was born Sept. 28, 1920, in the town of Franklin, to the late Joseph and Anna Brey Stedl.
She married Ernest F. Guex on June 24, 1941, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kellnersville. He preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1998.
Marie was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot, and a member of the Holiday Rambler Trailer Club. She and her husband enjoyed traveling for many years. She enjoyed golfing.
Survivors include one brother: Michael Stedl, Cato; four sisters: Claire Kath, Manitowoc; Gertrude Rivest, Green Bay; Helen (Robert) Princl, Mishicot; Vernice Keehan, Denmark; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law: Arleen Stedl, Little Chute; Delores Stedl, Whitelaw; and Oliver Rusch, Manitowoc; nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by four brothers: Walter, Victor, Joseph and Clarence Stedl, one sister; and three brothers-in-law: Florence and Joseph Podrabsky; Earl Keehan; and Mel Rivest; and a sister-in-law: Mildred Rusch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot with entombment to follow in the Knollwood Mausoleum. The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the family with arrangements.
