Mr. Schiesl was born in 1875 on the homestead farm at Rt. 1, Cato, and resided there until his retirement six years ago when he and his wife moved to Whitelaw. He married Elizabeth Licht in 1901 and she survives with two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Schmatz and Mrs. Edmund Zipperer of Rt. 1, Cato; and seven sons, Joseph, Frank and Herbert of Manitowoc, Edward of Whitelaw, George of Kellnersville, Nick of Rt. 1, Whitelaw and Reuben of Rt. 1, Cato. A daughter preceded him in death. Also surviving are two brothers, Frank and John of Stanley, Wis., a sister, Mrs. Henry Veidt of Middleton, Ohio; 30 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the farm home after 7 p.m. Thursday. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday by the Holy Name Society of which Mr. Schiesl was a member and at 8 p.m. Friday by Rev. Husslein.
