Mrs. Ferdinand Schisel, 85, of Rt. 1, Cato, died Sunday morning at Family Heritage Home, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The Rev. Leo Schmitt will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Schisel, nee Mary Reindl, was born September 10, 1883 at Kellnersville, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Mazanec Reindl. She was married to Ferdinand Schisel October 21, 1908 at Whitelaw and they resided at Antigo for four years. They then moved to Rt. 1, Cato, where they owned and operated a farm until their retirement in 1947. Mr. and Mrs. Schisel observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1958. Mrs. Schisel was a member of the Christian Mothers Altar Society of the church.
Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Ted (Marjorie) Kaminski of Manitowoc, Mrs. Alex (Mabel) Fischer of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Augustine of Mishicot and Mrs. Elroy (Marion) Mull of Two Rivers; three sons, Clarence of Manitowoc, Herbert of Valders and Orie of Rt. 1, Cato; three brothers, Charles of Whitelaw, Anton of Cleveland and John of Rt. 2, Two Rivers; 25 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. A daughter, two sons and four brothers preceded her in death. Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8:30 o’clock this Monday evening by members of the Christian Mothers Altar Society, parish and friends.
