Mrs. Leona Hemb, 79, widow of George Hemb, former Town of Centerville resident, died Sunday morning at Family Heritage Home, Manitowoc, where she had resided the past three and one half years.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. James United Church of Christ, Spring Valley. The Rev. Jay Lemke will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Hemb, nee Leona Ohse, was born Aug. 15, 1895, in the Town of Meeme, daughter of the late Edmund and Otilia Henschel Ohse. She attended schools in the Town of Meeme area and was married to George Hemb Sept. 29, 1919, in the
Town of Meeme, residing in the Meeme and Centerville townships. Her husband preceded her in death Jan. 26, 1965. She was a member of St. James U.C.C. and a charter member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
Survivors include two sons, George and Marvin, of Sheboygan; two daughters, Mrs. Marcella Arnst, of Sheboygan and Mrs. Elfner (Annette) Uhlig, of Francis Creek; three sisters, Mrs. Lilly Larkner, of Chicago and Mrs. Emma Witthuhn and Mrs. Gustave Kroening, of Sheboygan; 16 grandchildren and five great grand-children. Two sisters preceded he in death.
