Clarence A. "Connie" Neumeyer, age 86, of 3201 Division St., Manitowoc, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2010, at his home surrounded by his loving family on his journey to Heaven.
He was born on May 24, 1923, in St. Nazianz (Quarry), Wis., son of the late Edward Sr. and Alvina (Stahl) Neumeyer. Clarence Served in the US Army during WWII.
On May 29, 1948, he married Virginia Stueber in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on July 14, 1991.
Clarence was employed as a journeyman operating engineer and a journeyman heavy equipment operator with Heckett Engineering until his retirement.
He enjoyed woodworking and playing Santa Claus. Clarence was a very caring person willing to lend a hand to anyone. He was a member of the Valders American Legion Post No. 29, the VFW, and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 150.

He was also preceded in death by a son: Robert Clarence Neumeyer; his second wife: Lillian Neumeyer, three brothers: William, Robert and Edward, Jr.; one sister: Rose Fenlon; two brothers-in-law: Richard Knox and Dallas Elliot; one sister-in-law: Mary Neumeyer; and one grandson: Angel Trisic.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2010, at St Francis of Assisi on Grand and S. 14th St. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth, where full military honors will be accorded by the VFW Otto Oas Post 659.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, May 14, 2010, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc from 3 to 8 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. led by Sister Michael Majeskie. The visitation will continue on Saturday morning, May 15, 2010, at St Francis of Assisi on Grand and S. 14th St., from 8 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m. The Pfeffer Funeral Home Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
