WILLIAM KOLB

William Frank Kolb, 67, who conducted a blacksmith shop in the Town of Newton for 26 years, died Sunday morning at 4 o'clock at the home of his mother-in-law, Mrs. Henry Waak, Sr., three miles south of English Lake in the Town of Newton. He had been ill several months.

Mr. Kolb was born in Meeme Feb. 16, 1871 and married Louisa Waak in 1893. After their marriage, they resided in Barron county where Mr. Kolb conducted a blacksmith shop. In 1902 they returned to Manitowoc county and Mr. Kolb set up a blacksmith shop on the Green Bay road in Newton which he operated until his retirement in 1928.

Survivors are the widow; one son, Walter of Newton and one daughter, Mrs. Sigfried Haupt, Newton; five brothers, Oscar, Cleveland, Ernst, Barron, Charles, Sheboygan, Fred, Cleveland, Herman, Sheboygan Falls; five sisters, Mrs. Ernst Hetzel, Meeme, Mrs. Matilda Jost, Cleveland, Mrs. Louis Koellner, Sheboygan county, Mrs. Amelia Klessig, Cleveland, and Mrs. Bertha Vogel, Cleveland; and 7 grandchildren.

The body was removed to the Walter Kolb residence on Highway 42 in the Town of Newton this afternoon. Funeral services will be held there Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and at the St. John's Lutheran church at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Edward Kionka will officiate.
