LOUIS KORTAS
Louis Kortas, 53, of 717 S. 26th St., Manitowoc, died Friday evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. He had been a patient three days.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Monday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Clement P. Kern officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Kortas was born at Newton June 26, 1905, son of the late Paul and Anna Hills Kortas. He married Ruth D. Geimer Nov. 15, 1938, at Two Rivers and the couple established residence at Manitowoc where he had been a guard since 1942 at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Inc. Mr. Kortas was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Kathleen, and a son, Donald, of Manitowoc; six brothers, John, Tony, Edward and Erwin of Manitowoc, Joseph of Newton and William of Milwaukee; and three sisters, Mrs. William Goethke and Mrs. John Sadler of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Theresa Craney of Milwaukee.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday where the Rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m.
