Louis W. Ibe, 95, of 121 Paine Street, Kiel, died Sunday evening, Feb. 23, 1997 at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton.
Funeral serices will be held Thursday at Meiselwitz-Vollstedt Funeral home, Kiel. Rev. Gerald W. Bertsch will officiate with burial in Hillside Cemetery.
He was born July 26, 1901 in the Town of Schleswig, son of the late Carl and Paulina Quante Ibe. On August 25, 1944 he married Loretta Linder in Chilton. The couple farmed on the Ibe homestead in the Town of Schleswig all their married life, moving to Kiel in 1980. His wife Loretta preceded him in death on Sep. 9, 1991. Louis enjoyed playing cards at the community Center. He was a member of Ebenezer UCC, Chilton.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law; Myra Sievert and Stella Olson, nieces, nephews, other relative and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters.
