Charles Ibe
Death claimed Charles Ibe on Thursday morning of last week at his farm home in the town of Schleswig, after an illness with stomach trouble. He reached the age of 69 years. The funeral services which were held in the Lutheran church at Louis Corners on Monday afternoon, where largely attended. Rev. W. Kuether officiated. The remains were interred in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Ibe was born in July 1, 1857 in Kattelbogen, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany, and came directed to Schleswig from the old country in 1871. His marriage to Miss Pauline Strade took place in 1884.

After her death he was united in marriage to Pauline Quante, who survives him, besides the following children; John Ibe of Chilton, Herman of Pigeon Lake, Rudolph of Eaton, Henry of Howards Grove, Louis on the homestead, Mrs. Otto Lau of Sherwood and Mrs. George Zorn of Kiel; also 13 grandchildren. Mr. Ibe lived on the homestead for about fifty years.
