Michael A. Noel, of New Oxford, died April 7, 2013, with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Karen E. (Fridinger) Noel, his wife of 42 years.
Born October 28, 1951, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Paul F. Noel and the late Emma C. (Shrader) Livingston.
Michael was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, and was a life member of the New Oxford Social & Athletic Club, United Hook & Ladder #33, and the West Manchester V.F.W. Michael was also the Oxford Township representative to the Eastern Adams Regional Police for 20 years, and was a former umpire for New Oxford Baseball and Hanover Softball leagues.
In addition to his wife Karen, Michael is survived by a daughter, Rachel E. Small and husband, Luke of Hendersonville, NC; four sisters, Dolores M. Smith of Hanover, Constance A. Pizzoli of New Oxford, Victoria L. Gladhill of Littlestown, and Christine E. Rimestad of Ft. Washington, MD; and four brothers, Frederick P. Noel of Hanover, Donald I. Noel of Tucson, AZ, Wilbur J. Noel of York, and Gary L. Noel of York.
He was predeceased by a brother, David A. Noel, and his stepfather, John H. Livingston.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on, April 11, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Oxford, with Rev. Steven Fauser as Celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Hanover Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
