Frederick Paul Noel, died Monday, 1 Feb 2021. He was the husband of the late Gladys Louise Adams, who passed away in 2019. They were married on 5 Oct. 1957.

Born on 13 Oct 1931, he was the son of the late Paul F. Noel and the late Emma C. (Shrader) Livingston.

Surviving him are two sons, Jeffery Noel and wife Christine of Hanover and Gregory Noel and wife Jody of Littlestown; eight grandchildren, Zach and Josh Noel, Matt Noel and wife Meghen, Jessica Scott and husband Erik, Carey Haddock and husband Jeremy, Amy Deatrick and husband Robert and Brian and Ellen Noel; seven great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Dolores Smith, Constance "Connie", Victoria "Vickie" Gladhill;2 brothers, Wilbur Noel, Gary Noel. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys; a daughter, Stephanie Noel; 3 brothers, Donald , David, and Michael.

Hanover - Frederick P. Noel "Knobby", age 89, of Hanover, entered into God's eternal care on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Homewood at Plum Creek. He was the loving husband of the late Gladys L. (Adams) Noel; who passed away in 2019.

Fred was born in New Oxford on November 13, 1931 and was the son of the late Paul Noel and Emma (Shrader) Noel. He graduated from Delone Catholic High School class of 1950 and proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He retired from A&P Grocery Store after 40 years of employment. He was a member of the McSherrystown Knights of Columbus and the Catholic War Veterans in Bonneauville.

He is survived by his sons Jeffrey D. Noel and wife Christine of Hanover and Gregory T. Noel and wife Jody of Littlestown; his grandchildren, Zach Noel, Josh Noel, Matt Noel and wife Meghan, Jessica Scott and husband Erik, Carey Haddock and husband Jeremy, Amy Deatrick and husband Robert, Brian Noel and Ellen Noel; and his great grandchildren Jacob, Adam, Lacie, Sophia, Landen, Charlie, Langston and Evelyn. He is also survived by his sisters Dolores, Constance and Victoria "Vicci" and his brothers Wilbur and Gary and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Stephanie Noel and his brothers Mike, David and Donald Noel.

Due to COVID19, services and interment are being held privately by the family under the direction of Murphy-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., of McSherrystown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Sacred Heart Basilica, 30 basilica Dr., Hanover PA 17331.
