Albert was the son of Roseann Smith and Samuel Eagens, sibling to; Ada May, Mary Ann(Mayme) and Harry. Sometime around 1900 his mother is shown as a widow on the census and the family is living with an uncle.
Albert left his home with his family for Canada and joined the military in 1914.

He died at the age of 61 in Redding, Shasta County, Pennsylvania.
