EDWARD CHARLES HUNERDOSSE --

Edward Charles, son of Gerard and Martha Hunerdosse, was born in London, England Oct. 3, 1850. He was married Feb. 12, 1875 [actually 1885], to Sarah Nancy Willis, of Newbern, Iowa. To them was born two daughters, Bessie, the wife of Andrew Malone, of Niagara, Wis.; and Della, wife of Albert Auxier, of Melcher, Iowa. Mr. Hunerdosse had been a member of the Newbern Methodist church for more than 40 years, and his interest in the church and the Kingdom continued to his death. He loved and trusted his Savior. His life was spent in the neighborhood of Newbern until a little more than a year ago, when be moved to Lacona. For the last several months he had made his home with his daughter, in Melcher. Mrs. Hunerdosse passed away Sept. 21, 1928. He had been in failing health for some time, but his condition did not become serious until the last few days. All that loving hands and care could do was done for him but he passed peacefully to his reward about 8:30 Saturday evening. March 29, 1930. There remains of the family, three sisters. Mrs. Emma Mason and Mrs. Rose Inbody of Newbern, Iowa; Mrs. Mary Brawner of Wheatland, Wyo.; two brothers, Phillip, of Indianola , and Frederick, of Newbern; the two daughters mentioned before, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Short services were held at the home, and the funeral services were conducted at the Federal Church in Newbern. His body was laid to rest beside that of his life's companion in the Newbern cemetery.
