Aaron Welch, second son of Medad and Abigail (Hosmer) Welch, natives of Groton, married for his first wife Johanna Plummer, who bore him seven children, as follows: Samuel P., Martha, who married Nathaniel Page, of Ryegate; Horace, who married Lydia Ann Elmer, and has two children, Catharine J. and Sarah, and lives in Montana; Abigail, Sarah, Alexander G., who married Delia Frost, and has two children, Aaron and Isaac; Nancy, who married Frank Page, of Groton. Aaron’s wife Johanna died February 12, 1855.
Mr. Aaron Welch married for his second wife Eliza Gibson, April 2, 1856, who bore him four children, only one of whom is living, Clarence E., who is cashier in a bank in Illinois. Mrs. Eliza Welch died June 17, 1865.
Mr. Aaron Welch married for his third wife Charlotte Welch, the widow of his brother George, in 1866, and soon after opened the hotel in Groton where he now is. Aaron and Charlotte had no children together.
