Nettie B. Kupferschmid-Kyburz, 102, Fairbury and formerly of Forrest where she had resided with her son and daughter-in-law from 1993 until 2012 died at 7:20am Friday, November 1, 2013 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be in the South Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Fairbury. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, November 4, 2013 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Tuesday at the church. The family suggest memorials be given to Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury or the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest.

Mrs. Kupferschmid-Kyburz was born May 17, 1911 in Francesville, IN the daughter of William and Ida Alt Bachtold. She married William Kupferschmid on May 16, 1937. He died on August 27, 1980. She then married John Kyburz on September 30, 1987. He died on June 22, 1993.

Survivors include her children: Orville (Marlene) Kupferschmid, Pontiac, IL; Marilyn (Fred) Ruegsegger, Bay City, MI; Velda (Don) Hish, Normal, IL; Betty Ifft, Cornell, IL; Bill (Celeste) Kupferschmid, Fairbury, IL; Dean (Robin) Kupferschmid, Forrest, IL; Richard (Maribeth) Kupferschmid, Eureka, IL; Alfred (Wanda) Kupferschmid, Forrest, IL; two step children: Marjorie (Henry) Friedman, Fairbury, IL; Marilyn (Harold) Scott, Maine; 29 grandchildren, 14 step grandchildren, 95 great grandchildren, many step great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren; two sisters: Laura Kupferschmid, Eureka, IL and Juanita Koehl, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by one son: Gary (Rebecca) Kupferschmid, son-in-law, Warren Ifft, eight brothers, two sisters, one step daughter, three grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Kupferschmid-Kyburz was a homemaker and worked at Fairview Haven Retirement Community form a number of years. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Forrest and enjoyed needle work.

Her life was a display of love for the Lord, her church, and her family. She will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren.
