Laura M. Kupferschmid, 94, of Eureka, passed away at 2:24 p.m. Sunday (April 5, 2015) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal.

She was born Jan. 15, 1921 in Cropsey to William and Ida Alt Bachtold. She married Wayne Kupferschmid on Oct. 10, 1941 in Morganfield, Kentucky. He passed away April 13, 1983 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by eight brothers, three sisters and two sons-in-law.

She is survived by three sons, Lon Kupferschmid, Ed (Donna) Kupferschmid and Tom (Sherri) Kupferschmid; three daughters, Loretta Leman, Phyllis (Chris) Miller and Beverly (Jimmie) Peters; one sister, Juanita (Leroy) Koehl; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She worked many years in the dietary department at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka. She was a member of Apostolic Christian Faith Church in Eureka.
