Alice Sharpe Swittenberg, 91, died on Monday, June 17, 2013. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 20, from 9:00-10:00am at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in downtown Jackson followed by a graveside service at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery at 10:30.

Mrs. Swittenberg, a Booneville native, graduated from Central High School in Jackson, Mississippi, and then from the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. She was employed by First National Bank (now Trustmark Bank), where she met her husband, Bob Swittenberg, who became executive vice-president of Trustmark Bank.

Mrs. Swittenberg was a long-time member of Galloway Methodist Church. She will be remembered for her sweet and kind spirit and as a good friend and loving family member.

She was predeceased by her husband Bob, her parents, Elmer and Louise Sharpe, her sister and brother-in-law, Ida May and Leon Burton of Jackson, her brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Irene Sharpe of Corinth, and her sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Charles Fair of Louisville, and she will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
