Mrs. Byrnes was preceded in death by her husband, Sammie J. Byrnes; and one son, Billy Ray Byrnes.
She was survived by three sons, Roy Byrnes of Roanoke, VA; Rev. Jerry Byrnes of West Monroe, and Earl K. Byrnes of Haughton; two daughters, Dottie Fay Guimbellot of Lake Village, AR and Ann Toney of Winnsboro; one half-brother, Calvin Johnson of Ruston; 17 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
