Rudolph Vitali, age 88, of Chisholm, died Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Range Regional Health Services in Hibbing. He was born January 17, 1925 in Chisholm to Joseph and Anna (Gallinatti) Vitali and had been a lifelong Chisholm resident.

Rudolph was united in marriage on October 13, 1945 to Anna C. Blaser. Rudolph was a US Army WWII veteran, having served in the European Theater. He had worked for E.J. Goroni and the Chisholm school district. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Chisholm, the Hibbing VFW Post 8510, the former Chisholm-Italian American Club and the Chisholm Sportsman's Club. He was a past Boy Scout leader an avid sportsman and Chisholm Bluestreak fan.

Survivors include his beloved wife Anna; children: Jacqueline (David) LaCoe, Michael Vitali, William (Patti) Vitali, Jeffrey (Michelle) Vitali, and Gina (Jukka) Rasanen; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great–great grandchildren; sisters: Zelinda Hendrickson, Josephine Carpenter, and Anita Vovk; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rose Marie Cappo and nine siblings.
