Attilia A. "Tillie" Maturi, 88, of Crystal, Minn., formerly of Chisholm, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002 in North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, Minn. She was born June 13, 1913 in Chisholm to Joseph and Anna (Galanati) Vitali.

Tillie was a 1932 graduate of Chisholm High School. She was united in marriage on Oct. 16, 1937 in Chisholm to Rudolph J. Maturi. She had been a Twin Cities area resident since 1965. She was a member of St. Olaf's Catholic Church in Minneapolis and was a lifetime member of its Women's Club. She had served at Ole's Cafe for four years. She was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. She was a loving and generous woman who treated her nieces and nephews as her own children. She enjoyed traveling and was also the family storyteller.

She is survived by her brothers: Rudolph (Anne) Vitali and Julio (Marilyn) Vitali; sisters: Zelinda (Henry) Hendrickson, Elvira Hooper, Josephine Carpenter, Anita (Frank) Vovk; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rudy, on Sept. 20, 1984; brother, Alex; sisters, Catherine, Minnie, Mary, and Righetta.

Interment was in the Chisholm Cemetery.
