Cortland - Helen S. Warren, 86, of Cortland and formerly of Ithaca, passed away January 10, 2008 at Northwoods at Cortland. Helen was born April 12, 1921 in Ithaca, the daughter of the late Frank and Anna Burns Thomas. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and playing card games. Helen is survived by her daughter, Susan {Thomas} Crane of Cortland; her grandchildren, Shelly {Dan} Kitchen Sturdevant, Jennifer {Martin} Crane, Gannon and Rebeca Crane, David Crane; and four great-grandchildren; her sister, Barbara {Robert} Congdon of Ithaca; and her feline companion, Annie. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Roger Warren in 2001. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home, 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer. Friends are invited to call from 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. prior to the service.
