"John C. Wallin, 79 years old, retired merchant of Yonkers was fatally injured yesterday when he was struck by a truck on Palisade Avenue, Yonkers, and he died several hours later in St. John's Hospital.
Mr. Wallin was the father of former Mayor William J. Wallin of Yonkers, who is now a member of the State Board
of Regents and Treasurer of the Westchester County Parks Commission. He leaves a wife and two other sons, Walter and George Wallin, both of whom are members of the Westchester bar. He was born at West Farms, N.Y."
Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon at Commissioner Wallin's home, 357 Park Avenue, Yonkers."
