Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Elkins, 79, of Spearsville will be held at 10:00am Monday, September 9, 2013 at Camp Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Marty Black & Bro. Buddy Boatwright officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Union Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Mrs. Elkins, a retired Educator, died Friday, September 6, 2013. She was a member Camp Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and was active in the WMU. She enjoyed teaching and loved the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dale Elkins and parents Hollice & Effie Wactor.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Kathy McAdams (James Riley) of Spearsville; son, Kent Elkins (Valerie) of Spearsville, LA; 2 grandchildren: Clint McAdams (Stacey) of Ruston and Rachel McAdams of Plain Dealing, LA; 1 brother: Hollis Guy Wactor, Jr (Jane) of Kilbourne, LA; 2 sisters: Joyce Chop (Louis) of Terry, LA and Melba Hammock (Sherrell) of Claremore, OK. Survivors also include numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be 3:00-8:00pm Sunday at Camp Creek Baptist Church.
