DeBauche, Harold J. "Buddy"

Harold J. "Buddy" DeBauche, age 86, formerly of Two Rivers, died Monday evening, September 9, 2013, at Fieldcrest Manor in Manitowoc.

Harold was born February 18, 1927, in Two Rivers, son of the late August and Mary (Reiner) DeBauche. At the age of 17 he joined the U.S. Navy serving during WWII and was stationed in Guam and Okinawa from 1944-1946. On April 15, 1950, he married Victoria Kowalski at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tisch Mills. He was employed as a Pipefitter at Mirro-Newell retiring after 45 years. He was proud he helped negotiate a contract that raised the Pipefitters and Millwrights to machine repair. Harold was a workaholic. He built three houses and a cottage with the help of his family. He liked to play cards (especially Sheepshead) and go fishing and spent a lot of weekends up north at the cottage. Harold was a country music fan. He always was one for a challenge. At the age of 75 he went whitewater rafting.

Survivors include his children: Dale (Cindy) DeBauche, Two Rivers; Julie DeBauche, Omro; Bill (Pat) DeBauche, Two Rivers; Christine (Mike) Dunn, Manitowoc; Alan (Judy)DeBauche, Lyle (Princiss)DeBauche, and Lisa (Kris) Stoer, all of Two Rivers; 12 grandchildren: Vicky Berg, Cory Bricker, Jill Glaser, Tara Gulbrandson, Sara Grimm, Melissa DeBauche, Kevin DeBauche, Jeffrey Dunn, Callie DeBauche, Travis DeBauche, Jared DeBauche, and Jade DeBauche; 10 great grandchildren; one sister: Bernice (Glen) Schultz; and one brother: Alfred (Christine) DeBauche, all of Two Rivers; brother-in-law, Joseph (Virginia) Kowalski and one sister-in-law, Josie (Norman) Nehring.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Beatrice (Fritz) Nies and Agnes (Fritz) Ploor and two brothers: Phillip (Elvie) and Russell (Jean) DeBauche.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2013, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Peter Mitchell with burial to follow the Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by the Two Rivers V.F.W. and American Legion.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, September 13, 2013, at church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
