August L. was the youngest of nine children {seven sons & two daughters} born to Phillip Bert & Adele (Deprey) DeBauche. On June 12, 1923, August married Mary Josephine Renier at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers; he was age 22, she was 17.

A hard working provider & father of six, August worked at a number of jobs (i.e., laborer in an aluminum shop, a veneer factory matcher & he later was foreman for F. Eggers Plywood & Veneer Company). He ultimately retired from Eggers Manufacturing in 1966. August died at age 80.
