Petronella M. Schneider, age 96, of 1322 Green Street, Manitowoc, died on Wednesday evening, January 16, 2013 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
Pat was born on November 20, 1916 in the town of Eaton, daughter of the late Godfried and Agnes (Schram) Schuler. On October 18, 1938 she married Norbert Schneider at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz. He preceded her in death in June of 1957. Pat along with her husband Norbert were the owners and operators of Schneider Grocery Store. She then was employed at Memorial Hospital and later as a dietary aid at the Manitowoc Health Care Center. Pat was a member of the Eagles Aerie 706 Auxiliary and the St. Clare Society prayer shall group. She enjoyed crafts, playing cards and walking.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Annette Schneider and Hal Kapraun, Bloomington, IL; one son: Dennis Schneider, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law: Marian Schuler, Chilton. Nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by: four sisters and their spouses: Clara Kautzer, Leona Brunmeir, Florentine Backhaus and Marcella Zych; three brothers and their spouses: Herbert, Arnold, and Edmond Schuler; four sisters-in-law and their spouses: Genevieve Wagner, Veronica Stahl, Evelyn Florian and Mae Reisterer; three brothers-in-law and their spouses: Henry, Bernard and Jerome Schneider.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William Van Dynhoven with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand from 9:00 a.m until 10:45 a.m.
